Special Alloy Valve

Wear-resistant ball valves are widely used in power generation, metallurgy, chemical, building materials, and many other industries, primarily for transporting media containing solid particles or with high viscosity. MECCO wear-resistant ball valves follow customer requirements and comply with general standards such as API 608 and GB/T 12237. A three-way ball valve enables more complex fluid control functions by rotating the ball to change the flow direction. It can be used for fluid diversion, mixing, and flow switching, with any pipeline serving as an inlet or outlet.

Hydrogenation valves are critical components in petroleum chemical plants, especially in hydrogenation units. Hydrogenation units are vital in petroleum refining, enhancing light oil recovery per unit of crude oil, improving fuel oil quality, supplying high-quality raw materials for petrochemical units, and achieving desulfurization of oil products. As important parts of pipeline systems, hydrogenation valves control fluid flow, regulate pressure and flow, and prevent backflow, playing a key role in the safe and stable operation of hydrogenation units. The applicable standards and product scope for this category are consistent with the gate valves, globe valves, check valves, ball valves, and others mentioned previously.

Valves designed for media temperatures above 425℃ are defined as high-temperature valves and can be of any conventional valve type. They are generally classified as follows: PⅠ: temperature between 425℃ and 550℃; PⅡ: temperature between 550℃ and 650℃; PⅢ: temperature between 650℃ and 730℃; PⅣ: temperature between 730℃ and 816℃; PⅤ: temperature above 816℃.

Insulated valves are specially designed valves with a metal jacket welded or clamped onto the valve body. The jacket is filled with steam, heat transfer oil, cooling water, cold air, or other media to maintain the valve body’s temperature under normal, heating, or cooling conditions, achieving insulation or cooling effects. This ensures normal operation of the medium, reduces heat loss, and prevents medium crystallization or solidification. Valve types include gate valves, globe valves, check valves, ball valves, and butterfly valves.

Slag-lock valves are widely used in coal chemical and other industries. MECCO slag-lock valves are based on ball valve structures. The ball and valve seat use full metal-to-metal sealing. To ensure reliable sealing under various temperatures and pressures, advanced hardening technologies are applied to the ball and seat based on different user conditions and requirements. These technologies include supersonic spraying, nickel-based alloy surfacing, special surface hardening, hard alloy surfacing, and the use of high-strength, high-hardness ceramic materials. The surface hardness of the ball and seat typically reaches HRC75 or above, up to HRC90. Tungsten carbide wear-resistant alloys are used on the inlet and outlet to suit most harsh operating conditions. These valves are especially prevalent in coal chemical, polysilicon, petroleum, building materials, metallurgy, power, and mining industries.

Special material valves are widely used across many industries, providing reliable fluid control solutions. For example, in chemical industries for handling corrosive chemical media; in marine engineering to resist seawater corrosion; in nuclear power to ensure safe operation of nuclear facilities; in petrochemical industries to withstand high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive environments; and in metallurgy to meet high-temperature and strong corrosion conditions.

In industrial systems, all structural types of valves may be used for oxygen service, but an oxygen valve is not simply a substitute for a standard valve. Due to the high combustibility of oxygen and its tendency to cause explosions under high pressure, valves must strictly follow standards throughout the entire process—from material selection and structural design to operation and maintenance. Additionally, thorough degreasing is required before leaving the factory, and oil must be strictly prohibited during on-site use.
