Plug Valve
A plug valve is a valve that controls fluid flow or regulation by rotating a valve core (plug). Its core structure is simple and provides reliable sealing, making it suitable for high-viscosity, particulate-containing, or corrosive media conditions. It is widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, and food processing. MECCO plug valves are designed and manufactured according to API 6D, API 599, GB/T 22130, and other standards, with pressure ratings of CL150, CL300, CL600, CL900, CL1500, CL2500 (or PN16\~PN420).
Size:
NPS1/2~~NPS36 (DN15~~DN900).
Material:
Body material is selected based on customer order; both casting and forging are applicable.
Sealing Surface:
Metal-to-metal (hard seal) or PTFE/elastomer (soft seal). For corrosive conditions, the valve body can be lined with PTFE or rubber as soft sealing materials.
Plug:
Tapered plug with straight-through or L-shaped passage, enabling flow control with a 90° rotation.
Valve Body:
Circular or Venturi shape.
Operation Mode:
Manual, gear-operated, electric, pneumatic, etc.
