Plug Valves for Reliable Industrial Flow Control

Plug Valve
Plug valves are versatile flow control devices used in a wide range of industrial applications. They feature a durable valve body available in stainless steel, ductile iron, or cast iron, and utilize a quarter turn operation for quick and efficient flow control. With various types of plug valve designs, including tapered plugs and full ported or port design options, these valves handle high pressure and high temperature applications effectively. Often compared with ball valves, plug valves provide reliable performance and precise control, making them suitable for demanding pressure applications across many industries.

A plug valve is a valve that controls fluid flow or regulation by rotating a valve core (plug). Its core structure is simple and provides reliable sealing, making it suitable for high-viscosity, particulate-containing, or corrosive media conditions. It is widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, and food processing. MECCO plug valves are designed and manufactured according to API 6D, API 599, GB/T 22130, and other standards, with pressure ratings of CL150, CL300, CL600, CL900, CL1500, CL2500 (or PN16\~PN420).
