Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve – Durable, Low Torque Valve for Industrial Flow Control
Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve
The double eccentric butterfly valve, also known as a double offset valve, is a high-performance valve designed for efficient flow control in various industrial applications. Featuring a double eccentric shaft design, the valve reduces friction between the disc seal and the seat, resulting in lower operating torque and extended service life. Constructed from durable materials such as stainless steel and ductile iron, this eccentric butterfly valve offers excellent corrosion resistance and strength. The dry shaft design further enhances reliability by preventing lubricant contamination. With its optimized disc seal and robust construction, the double eccentric butterfly valve delivers reliable sealing and long-lasting performance in demanding environments.
The Mecco double eccentric butterfly valve features an elastic pressure self-sealing seat structure that enables bidirectional zero leakage and achieves lower torque, thereby reducing actuator procurement costs. Its cam-effect sealing structure separates the valve seat from the disc after a certain opening angle, reducing friction and greatly extending service life. It is widely used for shut-off and regulation of pipeline fluids. The Mecco double eccentric butterfly valve adopts an eccentric design and complies with API 609 standards.
